Privacy Policy
We treat visitor information on parmenas.org the same way a cooperative treasurer treats member records: we collect only what is needed to answer your request, never sell or rent your details, and run no advertising trackers.
1. Information you choose to send us
When you submit the closed testing early-access form, we collect the fields on that form: your name, email address, co-op or buying club name, role, approximate co-op size, what you would most want Parmenas to do, and your consent confirmation.
That submission is sent directly to Viable Food (redwards@viablefood.org) via authenticated mail and backed up in a non-public server file so no request is lost if mail delivery is delayed. We use this information solely to correspond with you about Parmenas testing and cooperative setup.
2. Bot protection without third-party captchas
We do not use third-party captcha scripts that track your browsing across the web. Instead, our sign-up form uses three privacy-preserving checks on our own server:
- An off-screen honeypot field that human visitors leave blank;
- A hidden timing check verifying the form was not submitted by an automated script;
- A per-IP rate limit of 5 submissions per hour. We scramble your IP address with a secret key and never store raw IP addresses in our rate-limit file, which expires entries after 60 minutes.
3. Video embeds and cookies
Our Trailer and Vision films use click-to-load private video previews. No connection is made to YouTube unless you select the play button on a film.
4. Updating or removing your request
To update or delete your early-access request at any time, write to redwards@viablefood.org from the email address you used on the form, and we will remove your entry promptly.
